However, I took a walk around the farm to take stock of the snow situation. The front yard is getting deep.
TBear did a good job shoveling a path to the back door.
TBear, the Shoveler, making his way out to the driveway.
After TBear was done shoveling paths, he took the shovel to work on a snow fort in the snow pile Whit pushed up from the driveway. (That's the 8-foot high horse trailer to the right. Tall pile.)
The back entrance to the snow fort.
Next I strolled out to the barn with my camera to see what was up there. Apparently nobody wanted to brave going out in the snow today. Not even the sheep. Whit dug a path for them to their water trough later. That's Katie and Fargo, two of our Toggenburg goats, looking over the side of their stall.
This is what Whit was doing while I was taking pictures. He likes to play in his loader/backhoe.
The snizzle made the snow very wet and heavy. Most of our roofs are metal, with the exception of the one over my schoolroom and the woodshed, so Whit got the snow rake out to pull the snow off of those.
We don't need to rake the metal roofs. The snow just slides right off of those. In fact, you don't want to be standing near it when it lets go.
TBear even cleaned off the grill. :)
