Merry Christmas!

Hail, hail, the Whit's End Farm gang are all home for Christmas. Whit and Lisa are surrounded by Nutmeg, TBear, Sunny, and Riss.

Christmas was a lot of fun this year. Nutmeg arrived home from college in time to help Whit, TBear and me trudge through the new snow out to our woods to choose the perfect Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Whit's a funny guy that way. He really likes the idea of cutting the tree down from our woods, rather than paying for a well-pruned one from a tree farm. (After all, we live on a farm, and we have trees, right?) The only minor issue was that we didn't get outside until about 4:30 pm so we had to choose it by flashlight. It was also about 20 feet tall, but the top was beautiful...okay, serviceable...after Nutmeg and I pruned it into shape. The end result was perfect, and once again, we have the best tree ever!

TBear and I started to make a gingerbread barn, but my gingerbread didn't harden enough to support itself, so the walls caved in when we tried to assemble it. Not ones to give up, TBear and I re-sized the pieces and created a nice little cottage...complete with its own outhouse. Who says we're not creative.

That's all for this morning.
